PROGRAM SUMMARY This course will focus on causes of deterioration, proper surface preparation, application methods, and protective coatings. LEARNING OBJECTIVES • The specifier will learn how to diagnose the root cause of façade deterioration, and how to treat the symptoms after diagnosis. • This course will instruct the specifier on the elements of proper substrate preparation. The specifier will learn what must be done to ensure safe and long-lasting repairs. • The various methods of application of repair materials will be reviewed, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each. • Specifiers will be able to determine the best protective coatings for façade repair by prioritizing the key objectives of the coating use and public safety.
