Help architects and consultants select the right building envelope systems and turn those relationships into specified projects.
BRT is a manufacturers' representative firm serving the building envelope and restoration market. We are looking for an architectural sales representative who can build relationships with design firms, understand project requirements and follow an opportunity from early design through bidding and construction.
What you will do:
Develop relationships with architects, engineers, roof consultants, specification writers and building owners.
Identify upcoming roofing, insulation, waterproofing and restoration projects and position appropriate BRT-represented systems.
Arrange product presentations, lunch and learns, and manufacturer-supported education.
Review plans and specifications; coordinate product data, samples, details and technical questions with the appropriate manufacturer.
Track specified projects, bid dates, bidders and next steps, working with BRT's sales team to help convert specifications into orders.
Keep contacts, project stages, and follow-up activity current in the CRM.
What we are looking for:
Three or more years in architectural sales, building materials, specification support or a closely related construction role.
Experience with roofing, insulation, wall panels, cladding, waterproofing or other building envelope products.
Ability to read drawings and specifications and explain technical information clearly.
Strong presentation skills, initiative and reliable follow-through.
Existing NYC/Long Island design-community relationships are a plus.
Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
