The Project

A hotel renovation involving the relocation of the lobby from the first floor to the basement ran into an unexpected problem: significant groundwater. Conventional dewatering would have required permits, potentially adding 90 days to the project schedule.

The contractor initially approached BRT for a waterproofing solution. Instead, our team recommended soil injection grouting, an approach that hadn't previously been considered for the project. ADCOS PURINJECT 1C SOIL injection resin was injected directly into the soil to form a water-resistant grout zone beneath the planned excavation areas, including the elevator pits.

The injection work was completed in just four days, allowing excavation to proceed without conventional dewatering and keeping the renovation on schedule.
